We’re building a robust, zero carbon U.S. aluminum supply chain by 2030 by slashing emissions and creating good jobs in hard-hit communities.

Founded in 2022, the Sustainable Aluminum Network unites national security experts, major labor organizations, and leading environmental groups.

Through research, policy development, innovative data analysis, and partnering with local community groups, the Network is working to revitalize the domestic primary aluminum industry so it can meet rapidly growing global demand for green aluminum, forecasted to increase by 40% by 2050.

Our vision is to restore good-paying, union jobs, reshore American aluminum manufacturing, and revive local communities, while drastically reducing toxic industrial pollution from aluminum manufacturing.
